The good thing is the existence of 3 different transportation agencies that are secured and can take you around many but not all places in South Sinai or to the rest of Egypt with prices start from 50 LE (€5) inside Sinai to a maximum of 350 LE (€20) to Cairo or Alexandria.

Sinai is connected to Aqaba and Hurghada ‘South of Egypt’ via ferries, and the service is available on a scheduled plan that you can find on the following websites:

  • Aqaba – Nuweiba: Travelers and foreigners in general who are not Egyptians or Jordanians can book their spot in the midnight ferry that only takes 2 hours for a cost of $75 for 1 way (Aqaba –Nuweiba) and $100 for the 2-way ticket (Aqaba – Nuweiba – Aqaba.

  • Hurghada – Sharm El Sheikh: 2 times a week travelers can take the ferry from Hurghada in the south of Egypt on the Red sea to Sharm El Sheikh or the vise-versa in lesser than 2 hours per one way, its cost varies by the season so better check the website.
